A resin bath needs nothing more than warm water and a soft cloth after most uses. For marks or staining, use a pH-neutral, non-acidic cleaner rather than vinegar or bleach, which can dull the surface and, on a coloured resin bath like Inferna or Aquaire, affect the depth of the colour over time.
Rinse the bath with warm water after use and wipe down with a soft cloth — that's genuinely sufficient for most day-to-day care. For anything that needs more than a wipe down, use a mild, pH-neutral cleaning solution rather than reaching for vinegar or an acidic descaler — both will corrode a resin surface over repeated use, even though they're commonly recommended for other bath materials. A pH-neutral bathroom spray such as Astonish, widely stocked at Asda, Sainsbury's and Home Bargains, is a safe everyday option. A soft sponge is fine; avoid scouring pads or anything abrasive, which can dull the surface finish rather than lift the mark. If you're in a hard water area, wiping the bath dry after use prevents the same limescale buildup that affects taps and fittings.
A thin layer of a stone or composite-safe wax, applied two to four times a year, adds a light protective barrier and restores some of the surface's original sheen — genuinely optional, but it's the difference between a bath that looks new after five years and one that's just adequately clean.
