Named for the stone it resembles. Galet has no straight edge and no two sides alike — an asymmetric silhouette that looks worn into shape rather than drawn. Irregular forms are the shape of the moment, and this is the reason: in a room built entirely from rectangles — tile, cabinetry, bath, window — one organic outline does more to soften the space than any amount of colour. The backlight follows the full curve, so the shape stays legible even in the dark. It needs room. Give it clear wall either side and it becomes the piece people mention.
