Most illuminated mirrors give you a band of light. Filigrane gives you a pattern — a fine interlaced lattice worked into the border of the glass, which reads as quiet texture when the mirror is off and lights as a figure when it is on. It is the difference between a lit edge and a drawn one. The pattern is etched into the surface rather than applied to it, so there is nothing to lift or fade, and the mirror behaves like any other mirror when the light is down. For a bathroom that is otherwise plain — flat tile, plain plaster, no ornament — it supplies the detail the room is missing.

Does it need an electrician?
Yes. Filigrane is hard-wired to a fused spur rather than plugged in, so it should be installed by a qualified electrician in line with UK bathroom wiring regulations. It is IP44 and Class 1 rated for zones 2 and 3.
What does the pattern look like switched off?
A fine etched texture around the border — visible up close, quiet from across the room. It is worked into the mirror surface rather than printed on, so there is nothing to peel or fade, and the mirror still behaves as an ordinary mirror.
Will it steam up after a shower?
No. A heated demister pad is built into the back of the glass, keeping a clear area free of condensation while the room is steamy.
