The almond — a tall oval in a slim metal frame, narrow enough for the walls a round mirror cannot take. Chimney breasts, cloakrooms, the space between a window and a corner. The pill shape is having its moment for a reason: it holds the softness of a circle while keeping the height of a rectangle, which is what most bathroom walls actually want. At 500mm wide it sits comfortably above a basin unit of 650 to 750mm.
